There will be no classes November as we prepare kits for Mod Shop.
Join us for Mod Shop Nov. 26th from 5-9 PM.
Classes will continue again in Dec.
Our October class schedule is out, and it’s full of Halloween themed classes! Come in and work on your costume with our cape sewing or vinyl transfer classes. Spruce up your place with a laser etched skeleton garland or some new spiderweb coasters, and much much more. You can check out our list and sign up for classes online!
Here is an awesome coaster project done on our Epilog Laser by Cliff Bailey. Check out our website for dates on upcoming Laser classes if you are interested in making your own creation.

We just got in a whole new load of computers! In addition to the computers we already had available to our members we now have another dozen Lenovo computers. Come in and learn a new program! All computers have registered versions of Adobe Illustrator as well as a ton of other great programs.
We are officially open for business, and were lucky enough to spend the morning with a team from Good Day Sacramento.
Heather and Shawn took a peek at the printers, played with some light sabers and made a couple name tags on the laser cutter.

Come down and sign up for a membership or a class, and start making your own amazing projects!
We had our first successful class in the space, and want to thank all the folks who volunteered their time to make sure we get things right. We opened the room up to 10 folks who helped us smooth out some of the kinks in our light sabre build.
Official classes will be available soon, and we hope to see you there!
As always, we’d love to hear from you if there’s a class you’d like to take or teach, so feel free to drop us a line to make requests!
…to everyone who cleaned, carried, built and busted knuckles to get things up and ready in time for Modshop.
We had such a wonderful time welcoming the community into our space, and we hope you were able to envision all the wonderful things to come. The next few weeks will be full of hands-on hard work to make sure we can greet you again in the new year.
While we’re waiting to get our own media uploaded, we’d love to see any photos or video you guys may have captured from the evening of Modshop! Feel free to tag us, or post directly to our page.
We’ll be checking in again shortly to announce the winners of our mailing list raffle, so stay tuned!
The Downtown Tinkertank team is excited to open our doors for a sneak peek of the space during Modesto’s 3rd Annual Modshop!
Held in the heart of downtown Modesto, this indie craft fair features a wide range of stunning handmade goods from over 70 vendors. Keeping with the maker spirit, our doors will be open for folks who want to poke around, and create their own holiday keepsake! We look forward to greeting your smiling faces, and hope you’ll take a moment to visit us.
